Nicolo Tresoldi transfer: latest update

Who is tracking the striker?

TEAMtalk reports that Chelsea are sending scouts to witness Tresoldi in action, and Manchester City are believed to be keeping a watchful eye as well. The same outlet notes that Chelsea’s interest had been flagged earlier by Daily Briefing. Links have also tied Manchester United to Tresoldi, while some tabloid reports have suggested Arsenal could be weighing up a move.

Background and form

Tresoldi emerged as a breakthrough option last season, scoring 23 goals in all competitions for Club Brugge. He has continued that form into the current campaign, registering nine goals so far. Notably, he has been prolific in Europe, with a recent run described as four goals across three Champions League appearances, including a hat-trick against Inter Milan. These performances have drawn attention from several top European clubs seeking a young, proven scorer at continental level.

Why top English clubs are interested

Chelsea: Reports frame Chelsea’s interest as part of a broader strategy to bring in younger forwards who can develop under the club’s project. With Chelsea aiming to strengthen attacking options amid a somewhat inconsistent start to the season, January could see a targeted move for depth up front.

Manchester City: City’s interest is linked to squad depth. With Erling Haaland as the clear first choice, a capable backup who can contribute goals when needed is being considered as part of long-term planning.

Manchester United and Arsenal: United have previously been noted as monitoring Tresoldi, potentially viewing him as cover amid forward-line injuries. Arsenal has also been linked as they explore alternatives to Viktor Gyökeres.

Scouting and the transfer timeline

A photograph shows scouts assessing Tresoldi’s movement, decision-making and adaptability against high-level competition. While interest from Premier League clubs has been widely reported, no formal offers have been made publicly. Observers describe this stage as initial recruitment activity—watching and evaluating before any concrete approach.

Profile and contract matters

Tresoldi is a 22-year-old German forward currently at Club Brugge in Belgium. His strong Champions League performances have enhanced his profile, but any transfer hinges on Club Brugge’s valuation, Tresoldi’s contract status and negotiations between clubs. At present, coverage describes Premier League interest as speculative and focused on monitoring rather than finalized deals.

What happens next

Today’s scouting observations could yield detailed reports that help clubs decide whether to move toward a formal bid in January. If interest remains high among multiple Premier League sides, January could become competitive, though many teams prefer to wait for spring windows or for any release clauses to become relevant. Follow-up reporting is expected as more concrete signals emerge—official approaches, statements from Club Brugge, or comments from agents could shift the narrative from scouting to confirmed transfer activity.
